To wire a plug you will need
- A star shaped (Philips head) and flat headed screwdriver
- 3 core flex electrical wire
- A wire stripper (or scissors)
- A strain relief cable sleeve (optional)

Step 1
Remove the card to reveal the 3 screws. The smaller screws at the bottom secure the cord grip in place. The larger screw at the top secures the plug shell.

Step 2
Unscrew the screws (remember lefty loose-y righty tight-y).

Step 3
Separate the two pieces of the shell to reveal the screw terminals.

Step 4
Get your flex cable for the plug and strip the outer sheath to reveal your live (brown), neutral (blue) and earth (yellow/green) wires.

Step 5
Cut the wires to the specified length shown on the instruction card which comes with the plug.

Step 6
Strip the required amount of sheathing to reveal the copper core. If desired attach a strain relief cable sleeve to the cable.

Step 7
Starting with the neutral wire connect it to the appropriate terminal on the left.

Step 8
Then connect the live.

Step 9
Finally connect the earth.

Step 10
Attach the cord grip and secure it with the screws removed in step 1.

Step 11
Reattach the shell.

Step 12
Secure the outer shell by tightening the remaining screw.
